Master of Science in Nursing Delivered Online
The Master of Science in Nursing program at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies is designed to build upon and expand the knowledge and skills a professional registered nurse has developed during baccalaureate nursing education and practice. As advanced practice nurses, graduates are prepared to improve nursing and health care through expert practice and the advancement of nursing knowledge. Following program completion, students are prepared to sit for national certification exams.

Applicants for these programs must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program and a valid RN License:
Family Nurse Practitioner: Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) are clinical experts who implement a holistic approach that emphasizes both care and cure. They apply cutting-edge science and manage the health needs of patients in primary care settings. The focus of the FNP program is to provide the academic knowledge and clinical skills necessary for health promotion, disease prevention, assessment, and management of common acute and chronic illnesses.

- Earn your Master of Science in Nursing degree in 17-18 months as a full-time student or in about 24-25 months as a part-time student.

Nurse Midwifery/Womens Health Nurse Practitioner: The Nurse Midwifery/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner program is designed to prepare the graduate to manage a woman's normal obstetrical and gynecological needs during the childbearing years, to manage the care of the normal newborn, and to provide primary care to women throughout the lifespan.
