Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Medical Assisting prepares students to perform medical assisting duties under direction of a physician/practitioner, including preparing examination rooms, taking vital signs, assisting in minor surgical procedures, giving injections, performing venipuncture, assisting in laboratory operations, taking x-rays and administering electrocardiograms. Keiser University’s Associate of Arts degree in Health Service Administration provides instruction in basic health services administration skills. Students use laptop computers to learn computer skills and software applications necessary to prosper in a healthcare business environment.
